Coyote County Loser premieres in LA

The new romantic comedy, Coyote County Loser premiered at the Landmark Theatre in Los Angeles, California on February 19th!

Last fall, Producer, Jacob Roebuck commissioned me to write a song for a specific scene in the film. The result is 'Wish You Were Here.'

Here's a brief synopsis of Coyote County Loser:

A struggling radio station has a reversal of fortune when a Los Angeles radio DJ Jack Proctor (Beau Clark) arrives in remote Coyote County and gives new life to a dying talk radio station. After clashing with local star Lauren Hartford (TV Guide's Nikki Boyer), Jack initiates an on-air contest to find the "biggest loser" in town and help him woo any woman in Coyote County.

The film will be released this summer.

'Wish You Were Here'

Just finished a new song called, 'Wish You Were Here' for the indie film, Coyote County Loser. I got to see an early edit of the film and it's worthy viewing!

The film-makers requested that I keep the arrangement sparse, just vocals and guitar. And I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out — old-fashioned and hymn-like. Really looking forward to getting into the studio and recording it soon!

A Treehouse Song

Several years ago, CDL and I came across the Tumbleweed Tiny House Company. Our interest in small cottages, has got me thinking about arboreal dwellings recently, like those designed by the TreeHouse Workshop and built from salvaged wood. (These guys take their treehouses seriously!)

So last week, I started writing a new song about a treehouse. It's just about finished and has to do with the beguiling idea of climbing into a treehouse and leaving the troubles of the world far below....
