So lately I've been on a G.K. Chesterton kick. CDL and I just finished reading The Club of Queer Trades outloud together and I've just started on The Everlasting Man.
I think what I appreciate most (so far) about Chesterton is his amazing ability to cut through intellectual pomp and complicated concepts and get to the central idea. As a writer who is also a Christian, Chesterton doesn't rely on lazy religious language.
His style is quirky, refreshing, good-natured and verbose. Might want to have a dictionary at hand!
"Art is the signature of man." -G.K. Chesterton
